It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction as the newly appointed principal of Mary S. Peake Elementary School! I am honored to join a school community that ensures academic excellence for every child, every day, whatever it takes. 

I come to you with 19 years of experience as an educator in urban and suburban settings from the elementary and middle school levels. My experiences have helped me prepare students to become college, career, and life-ready as they navigate the pathways of the Portrait of a Hampton Graduate. I have spent the last five years in the Hampton City School District as an educator, instructional leader, and assistant principal. 

I wholeheartedly believe that ALL students can learn and achieve at high levels. My goal is to ensure that our children receive a world-class education in a safe and nurturing environment every day. I am committed to working in partnership with our families, staff, and community to support children in reaching their maximum potential. 

I look forward to our first school year together and growing with our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive parents and community. Go Mighty Oaks!

Hello, Mighty Oaks!

I'm so excited to join the Mary S. Peake Elementary School family as your new assistant principal. For 20 years, I've had the privilege of working in education as both a special education teacher in preschool and elementary settings and as an assistant principal. My passion is helping students successfully navigate their educational journeys.

I can't wait to work with all of you as we grow our tiny acorns into mighty oaks!
